 Упражнение 1. Глагол в Present Simple
В этом упражнении вам нужно поставить глагол в одну из форм Present Simple. Напомню, таких форм всего две: глагол в начальной форме и глагол с окончанием -s.
 Вставьте пропущенные слова.

1. He (to have)  some sugar. - У него есть немного сахара. 

2. Jacob and Tina (to have)  a lot in common. - У Джейкоба и Тины много общего. 

3. I  not (to keep) expired pills. - Я не храню просроченные таблетки. 

4. He (to run)  the company with his brother. - Он управляет компанией со своим братом. 

5. She  not (to like)  my job. - Ей не нравится моя работа. 

6.  you (to know)  how it (to work) ? - Вы знаете, как это работает?

7. Cats never (to miss)  a chance to sleep. - Кошки никогда не упускают возможности поспать.

 Упражнение 2. Неправильные глаголы
Неправильные глаголы отличаются тем, что образуют 2-ую и 3-ю формы нестандартным способом. Поставьте глаголы в нужную форму, какую именно – поймете из контекста.
 Вставьте пропущенные слова. 

1. John (to open)  his eyes and (to breath)  deeply. - Джон открыл глаза и глубоко вдохнул. 

2. I have never (to see)  an elephant. - Я никогда не видел слона. 

3. She (to bring)  me some milk. - Она принесла мне молока. 

4. The Kingdom has (to fall) . - Королевство пало. 

5. We (to understand)  him but have not (to forgive) . - Мы поняли его, но не простили. 

6. Who (to dig)  the hole here? - Кто здесь копал яму?

7. There is a (to break)  chair here. Who (to break)  it? - Здесь сломанный стул. Кто его сломал?

 Упражнение 3. Времена Continuous
В этом задании вам нужно раскрыть скобки и поставить глаголы в нужную видовременую форму: Present Continuous, Past Continuous или Future Continuous. Обращайте внимание на перевод, чтобы понять, какое выбрать время
 Раскройте скобки и поставьте глаголы в нужную форму. 

1. The mouse (to sneak) . - Мышь крадется. 

2. I (to wait)  patiently. - Я терпеливо жду.

 "Trees cutting"

 In the modern world there are great many problems which not only a man but the whole humanity face. One of these problems is trees cutting.

 Population enlargement and rapid technological development ruin the nature. Thousand years ago the biggest part of the ground was covered by forests. People used wood in different goals during many years: at first for heating and building of habitations, then for construction of massive buildings and ships, for getting paper and many other things.

In general, our planet suffers from deforestation, trees cutting turn into a real ecological problem. Notwithstanding that trees can be planted again, cutting speed is too high, and the trees have no time to grow up. A tree needs many years to become big. Scientists ring the alarm: territories remaining without trees became deserts because the top soil is washed by rains, numerous animal species and entire ecosystems perish.

 Trees are the lungs of our planet, that’s why it is necessary to treat them carefully. It’s very important to decrease damage from trees cutting around the entire planet, ecologists suggest series of actions for this: to increase territories for planting new trees, to prevent forest fires, to fight with poachers and crooked businessmen, to enlarge and to create new reservations.

 But what a usual person can do? At first, to plant new trees and to use paper reasonably. The nature beauty is our treasure and our duty is to keep it for future generation.

4. Объедините два предложения в одно, используя перфектное причастие I.

Н-р:  He handed in his test. He had written all the exercises. – Having written all the exercises, he handed in his test. (Написав все упражнения, он передал свою контрольную.)

She went to her car and drove off. She had closed the door of the house.

I sent him an SMS. I had tried phoning him many times.

We moved to Florida. We had sold our cottage.

He knew all the goals by heart. He had seen that match several times.

 "Save our planet"

 If you look at the Earth from the orbit then you will see a beautiful blue planet that seems to be surrounded by mysterious white fog. This is the only planet in our universe that has life and everything that is necessary for it — water and the atmosphere. It’s hard to believe but this planet is dying!

 The Earth is dying in the hands of humans who brutally take advantage of it. People kill animals, deforest, dry out bodies of water and pollute the air. It is time to stop and think about your actions!

 According to the scientists, pollution of air and soil with hazardous waste will lead to a terrible ecological situation very soon. As a result, our planet will be uninhabitable. If people are not able to restore crop lands, forests and pastures then in the future the animals will face hunger and death.

The emission of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere that is caused by coal and oil burning will be a reason for a temperature rise and glaciers will melt so we won’t have any more fresh water. Besides, it will lead to natural disasters and you cannot predict the outcome of them.

 It has to be stopped! People, save our planet! You can start with small things. You don’t have to join various societies that protect the nature. You should only start being careful with the environment: don’t litter everywhere, save up some gas and water, don’t hunt endangered animals and don’t leave any fire burning in the forests.

 If every person changes his behavior at least a little bit and turns his consumer attitude towards nature into taking care of the planet then the Earth and people living here have a chance. The chance for happy future without hunger, disasters and diseases.

 "The Earth is in Danger"

All over the history of civilization our nature and its resources is increasingly exploited. When the resources exhaust, the nature becomes «sick». In this situation, it will be all about basic survival, not about the prosperity of mankind. Nowadays acid rains, poisoned water and air pollution are the reality we live in. All around the world there are big cities with thousands of industrial manufactories growing. The result of their work are dangerous substances that poison the air we and our children breathe, the water we drink and the soil on which we grow food. Forests are being cut down rapidly. The large-scale wildfires also contribute to deforestation a lot. Unless something is done, people will have nothing to breathe. Water resources are also under the threat. Oceans, seas, lakes and rivers are poisoned by industrial and nuclear waste, chemicals, pesticides and herbicides. There will be the day when nothing can live in the sea. Moreover, air is polluted by human activities. Plants and factories emit huge amounts of chemicals, which has awful consequences for the environment. For example, acid rain and global warming. Fortunately, the situation is not that bad. If people are aware of that and try to make our world better, then together we can save both the Earth and ourselves.
